
Mr. Mathis leads our growth and business development teams, working closely with cross-functional teams, care partners, and external stakeholders to expand access to 24/7 integrated virtual and in-home care designed to help children with special health care needs spend less unnecessary time in the hospital and more safe days at home and in their communities. Prior to Imagine Pediatrics, Mr. Mathis founded Oasis Health Partners, a value-based care platform that enables independent primary care providers in rural markets to engage in value-based care for seniors. As CEO, he led the development of the model and expansion into five states. Prior to Oasis Health Partners, he served as Chief Strategy Officer of Sevita, the nation’s largest provider of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where he created an integrated care model spanning clinical and community-based services. Mr. Mathis has also previously served as Chief Strategy Officer for Optum Care (UnitedHealth Group), leading payer and provider contracting, new service line development, and enterprise strategy following Optum’s acquisition of SCA Health, where he was Chief Development Officer.
Mr. Mathis holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts, with Phi Beta Kappa honors, from Emory University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and three children.
