Alison Curfman, M.D.

Co-Founder

Dr. Curfman serves as an Advisor on the Imagine Pediatrics Clinical Advisory Board. She co-founded the organization and served as our Chief Medical Officer (CMO) until 2023. As CMO, Dr. Curfman led the development of our clinical model and envisioned new clinical programs that continue to help our patients get the care and support they deserve.  Prior to Imagine Pediatrics, Dr. Curfman worked at Mercy, a not-for-profit health system that spans seven states, where she served first as Medical Director for Pediatrics at Mercy Virtual before becoming Clinical Director of Pediatric Operations. While at Mercy, Dr. Curfman led the team that developed and implemented the first fully virtual complex care program for pediatrics, which significantly improved the health and lives of children with complex medical conditions and lowered the total costs of care. She continues to practice at Mercy as a Pediatric Emergency Physician. In addition, Dr. Curfman holds Executive Committee positions for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Telehealth and for SPROUT Telehealth Research Network, which she co-founded in 2016. Dr. Curfman graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.S. in Biology, Case Western Reserve University with a medical degree, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with an M.B.A. She currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and four children.
