Mariana Pope, J.D., M.P.H.

Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Pope is responsible for establishing and continuously improving our compliance and privacy program, which safeguards patient privacy and safety, improves care quality, and ensures our operations meet all federal and state rules and regulations. Ms. Pope has spent her career driving ethical culture and conduct in healthcare organizations, including Traditions Health, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Houston Methodist Research Institute. At Traditions Health, a provider of home health, palliative care, and hospice care across 18 states, Ms. Pope served as Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing the company’s compliance program and making sure every employee understood their role in ensuring compliance in their day-to-day work. Prior to Traditions Health, Ms. Pope was the Director of Compliance and Privacy at Texas Children’s Hospital where she was responsible for compliance and privacy operations across all Texas Children’s entities. In addition, she worked at Houston Methodist Research Institute for more than a decade, leading research compliance, education, and governance before becoming Director of Governance and Faculty Affairs. For her community, Ms. Pope is President of the West U Chapter of the Young Men’s Service League, a national nonprofit service organization. She is also a Board Member for The Children’s Assessment Center, an organization dedicated to the treatment of children who have experienced abuse. Ms. Pope earned a B.A. in History from the University of Houston, a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, and a M.P.H. from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Currently, she resides in Houston, Texas with her family.
